Our story
FloatOps Studio was created by QuickSoft Media, a software development team based in Arusha, Tanzania — at the foot of the Serengeti.
Working alongside balloon safari operators in East Africa, we saw first-hand how mission-critical operations were being managed through spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and generic booking tools that added per-booking fees and treated safari flights like restaurant reservations.
We built FloatOps Studio from the ground up for this specific industry: pre-dawn flight briefings, Serengeti weather windows, bush breakfast logistics, guest waivers, multi-stop transport planning, and the kind of real-time coordination that keeps a flight operation running safely and profitably.
Every feature in the platform — from the weather GO/NO-GO decision screen to the driver transport timeline — was designed with input from people who do this work every day.
Our mission: Give balloon safari operators the same operational clarity that airline dispatch teams take for granted — at a price that makes sense for a fleet of two to twenty balloons.
What we believe
Operations first
Every feature is evaluated against one question: does it make the operation run better? Not more complex — better.
Built for the bush
Field staff work in areas with unreliable connectivity. The app works offline and syncs when signal returns.
No per-booking fees
A flat subscription you can predict. We don't grow by taking a cut of your revenue.
Operator partnership
Our roadmap is driven by operators. If you run a balloon safari, your workflow shapes what we build next.
Where we operate
FloatOps Studio is designed for balloon safari operations across East Africa, with specific support for locations across the Serengeti ecosystem:
- Serengeti Central (Seronera)
- Kogatende (Northern Serengeti)
- Kirawira (Western Corridor)
- Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)
- Grumeti
- Tarangire
Support for additional locations is available on request.
